On the 12th of August members of the PETRI-Sofia team – the International Coordinator of Y-PEER Anmar Khalid from Iraq and the EVS Volunteer at the International Foundation for Y-PEER Development Angela Georgieva from North Macedonia, participated in an event hosted by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Bulgaria, for celebrating the International Youth Day in Burgas, Bulgaria.
The theme of this year’s International Youth Day was chosen by the UN – “Transforming our world”, with a focus on Goal # 4 of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals – “Quality Education”.
The team of PETRI-Sofia had the opportunity to present Y-PEER, the activities and achievements of the global youth network.
After that, the real fun for the young people begun! They followed the rhythm of zumba dances performed by the team of the Association “Youth Voice”.
A surprising moment for all the young people was the opening of the Festival of Colors. They were covering each other in rainbow-hued powder to celebrate the International Youth Day with their peers. The happy and the festive mood of youngsters was increasing the positive vibes and spreading colorful memories.
Thanks to all these colorful moments, the International Youth Day was celebrated in a very special way!
