The volunteers of the International Foundation for Y-PEER Development implement workshops in schools in Bulgaria

Through the project “Youth Impact through Volunteering” the team of the International Foundation for Y-PEER Development involves young people from Bulgaria, Lebanon, Tunisia and Turkey/Iraq.

These amazing young people support us in implementing our local, national and international events for adolescents and youth, aimed at empowering them to make informed decisions about their health and future, to stand for their rights and to take an active part in society.

Through the project, we are implementing non-formal educational activities at schools in Bulgaria (e.g. 119 School in Sofia who are our partners through the network Schools for Health in Europe), in the youth space Eduspace in Sofia, and in the youth space Hub-a in Samokov, where we are closely collaborating with SEED Foundation.

The topics of the activities we implement are related to sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender equality, human rights and healthy lifestyle as a whole, meaningful youth engagement and participation.

The topics we work on are often not a part of the formal school curricula and in the same time are very important for young people and for society, they are based on core European values and principles. Through the European Solidarity Corps program we have the unique opportunity to work on these topics locally, nationally and internationally.
